Fan de Ellas is a dedication to three Latinx American heroines: Gilda, Yulimar Rojas and Luz Marina Giraldo. It is a celebration in which we intertwine their voices with ours. Real facts and archive materials are affected by our subjectivity bringing into dialogue movement, memory, words and soundscapes. An invitation to question our owns fascination and desires, to reflect about resistance, exhaustion and struggle, to claim the body as a political tool, to enjoy and celebrate the power of women.
During the process of this work we realized that there are a lot of other references to other women that motivate us, inspire us, and that we like to have around us. Therefore, we decided to prepare a brief fanzine and invite them to be part of this dedication.
